Large leaf tender kale grows well in cool temperatures. Heirloom variety originally brought to Canada in the 1800’s. Start indoors or direct sow after frost. After fall frost leaves become even more tender. You can mulch and over winter for fresh greens in early spring, will put out seeds in the second year.
